Finishing up
Hi everyone,
Tuesday was exam day for some of you! Happy to say everybody who took the exam passed! Well done! Some participants are finishing up the course and are making good progress. Thank you for your contributions and creativity in the development outlines of the case studies. My plan is to have a group discussion about the 4 case studies during the on-campus section of the module. There is no right or wrong answer and our previous course participants have found it very valuable and insightful to discuss suggestions with fellow course participants in real life! If you have not yet registered for the on-campus part, please contact me or sign up directly on our site. The same goes for those of you who want to be part of the extended on-campus course to develop your own clinical protocol with an expert in your field as your personal mentor. “Upgrades” are easily registered on our site. Don’t miss out on these more interactive, in depth on-campus sessions. Previous participants rated the on-campus course with a 4.8 out of 5! The value of learning from real life cases is expressed in this Nature article, from November last year, if you’re not convinced already 😉 Furthermore, a paper by us on Question based clinical development is accepted in Nature Biotech and will be published this December or January issue! We’ll distribute the pdf once published.
Please keep in mind that the second group exam for the online course will take place on December 12th. Obviously, you will need to have finished the course before you can take the exam. So, please make sure you finish up the course! To take part in the exam, you will also need to reserve a time slot when to take your exam. Please read the details below if you have not done this yet.
Online exam
The online exam will be supervised by the official proctor TestReach who will supervise each participant individually and remotely via webcam while you are taking the exam. To make sure that everything is in working order, you will need to download and test the TestReach program well before the exam. Please also book a time slot in advance.
Supervision is pretty formal. You will have to show your ID, the room and your table at the beginning of the exam with your webcam. TeachReach does not allow notes to be present during the exam. A blank piece of paper and pencil are allowed, but is not required. You should be fine doing the exam using only your computer or laptop.
You will have to login to the TestReach program and reserve a slot for yourself. Please double check your time zones to make sure you don’t miss the exam! TestReach will contact you directly by email with all the details, so please follow their instructions for testing and taking the exam.
The exam should easily be finished within an hour. All passing course participants will be awarded a certificate which you will receive by email and by post in the weeks after the exam. For those who would like to receive their certificate also by post, please email us your postal address or update your profile.
Best regards,
Saco
