Last week online!
You’re almost there! The fifth and final week (5) of the online course Question Based Clinical Development has become available. Some of you need some catching up to do but most are well underway and I enjoy reading your case assignments. Try to keep up as we move towards the end of this course and the exam dates are coming closer. You will need to have finished the course before the exam! For those who have been struggling to keep up due to these demanding times and/or clinical responsibilities, please contact Mariëlla to check which exam date suits you best.
QUESTIONS!
Week 5 offers two episodes of Questions!. Episode 5 contains an exciting feature: you get to decide how the story evolves by choosing one of two possible outcomes. Will compound ITL1437 reach the brain in sufficient amounts? In the season finale (Episode 6) Claire, Peter and Frank face a difficult decision regarding the future of their company…
CASES
I am impressed by the assignments uploaded so far for the week 4 case studies and the discussions! As you have noticed, practicing on real life cases adds to the complexity of clinical development. There is a wide variety in proposed question orders, project values and also in proposed development outlines. As you progress, take some time to review contributions by your fellow course participants and compare it with your own suggestion. Feel free to comment/reply on each others solutions or leave a more specific question. There is no right or wrong but we hope the approach we teach helps you to rationalize decision making and facilitates transparent discussions about the chosen path. That’s why we are looking forward to seeing you at the on campus part of the module to allow you to discuss the cases, work on new cases in small teams and dive in more detailed preparatory data. I you have not booked yet, feel free to contact me for details. This week offers two new real life cases for you to sink your teeth into. Practice finding clinical paths using the QOC and upload your development outline, before finding out ‘what really happened’.
EVALUATION FORM
We highly value your feedback on this online course to further improve this course! Please don’t forget to provide us with your comments & suggestions. You will find the brief evaluation form after the last topic of week 5.
ONLINE EXAM
June 16th or June 25th, the (brief) online exam on the online course Question Based Clinical Development is scheduled. You can do this online exam at home, at your organisation or elsewhere (we have been running exams online well before COVID-19 ;-)). The only things you’ll need is a quiet room, clean desk and a laptop/desktop on which you can load the proctoring program and a microphone and webcam and a stable internet connection. During the short online exam we will use online proctoring that will be performed by a professional external party. That means you will have an online examiner supervising the exam. We’ll send you more details on the online exam soon. Mariëlla will coordinate the logistics of the exam.
The online course materials will remain available to you also after completing the course.
I hope you’ll enjoy working on the last weeks case studies and finalizing the online course!
