Week 3 online and new videocall
Dear course participants,
Good morning. I like to start with the notification about the next videocall. You can join for a Q&A about the course on March 17 between 20:00 (CET) and 21:00 (CET). Find the MS Teams meeting with this direct link. I hope to see you this Wednesday!
Last Monday we started on the 2nd week of the online course Question Based Clinical Development. Most of you have already completed all of its topics. Others still have to finalize some of the topics but everybody is well underway. We strongly suggest to complete week 2 as soon as possible, since the course will move on and it will require more additional time to catch up. Week 3 is now available! Let me know if you need any assistance.
This is also a great time to look back at some previous topics like the personal case, the dispute about putting a price on biotech or even the poll about attrition rates in pharma. Feel free to comment on, or challenge your fellow participants. Please take some time to complete your profile including a photo and contact data. It helps to build a strong alumni network!
Week 3 is all about introducing question based development. We dive in with the 3rd episode of QUESTIONS!. Claire is on a quest to incorporate the most relevant scientific questions in the development of compound ITL1437. But can she come up with the right key questions?
You’ll learn to work with the Questions Optimizing Calculator or QOC. There are several exercises for you available to master this tool which helps you to find the most optimal development route for a novel medical intervention. In addition, you can watch a next Futurelab Talk by Adam Cohen from the Centre for Human Drug Research and an interview with Hans-Georg Eichler from the European Medicines Agency (EMA -London when we filmed this interview ;-)). We are sure you will enjoy it!
Thanks for the comments and assignments so far. We appreciate all your comments and feedback. They will help us to improve this online course for you and future participants. And don’t hesitate to contact us via the Support form if you encounter any technical difficulties or if something is unclear.
Enjoy this weeks learnings!
