Our analysis of Galapagos’ Filgotinib patents in the US and Europe revealed several differences between these two jurisdictions with respect to the patent system and patentability. For example, in Week 1 we learned from Bart Swinkels that a major difference exists between the US and Europe with respect to patenting human DNA sequences.
